Art of Ananda

I wish I had the chance to get a better shot, but I don't have a phone neither a good camera, and I decided to upload it so I can finish this portrait for once. Done with Soft Pastels and Color Pencils.

Ananda is an old friend, and really close to me. She is one of the greatest pictures I have ever faced, and learned with. So feminine, so strong and so wise. I promised her the drawing, since the last New Year, and now that her birthday's close, I had to finish it to give it to her. It's my very first portrait drawing, and I also learned all of a sudden how to use the pastels and mix colors. The composition is supposed to have a dream-like effect, inspired on a wonderful dream I had with her, right before I promised her this gift.

We have amazing stories, but since destiny and adult life got us apart, I'm kinda suffering, trying to get this magic back. I wish I had the way to do it better, exactly like her, and I wish I had so many other oportunities with her. I try to express it in the drawing, because the description will never be enough to show all my thoughts and every emotion I had while doing it.
